I am a happy crafter, love all things craft, and make handmade cards and keepsakes as well as writing the odd poem or two. I was on the Tattered Lace Dies design team for over a year but have now moved on.
I am very fortunate to have a designated craft room which is packed to the rafters with tons of crafting supplies (see the poem I wrote about my craft room, believe it or not, every word of it is true).
Nowadays my passion is for die cutting and over the years I have amassed a vast collection of die cutting machines, dies and embossing folders of all makes and types. My go to machine is my all time favourite Sizzix Big Shot Pro which I use pretty much every day I also have a Big Shot, Side Kick, Grand Calibur, Zip-e-Mate, Wizard and Quickutz hand held (though the last 3 are rarely if ever used).
I love to experiment and get messy stamping, inking, chalking, heat embossing and trying all the new techniques that the wonderful world of crafting continually keeps coming up with. I use my dies to make stencils, embossing folders and stamps (as if I didn’t have enough already LOL)
Making cards often involves finding appropriate words and when there’s nothing that will fit the bill I write my own. This has blossomed in recent years and has led to me penning poems. I write them when the mood takes me and most are about my personal experiences and people I know. I’ve posted quite a few on here under the poems tab, so if you’re at a loose end, why not click on the tab for an amusing and sometime poignant insight into my thoughts and experiences. I will be adding new ones as and when I write them so it’s always worth checking back if even if you’ve read them before.
