Exercise is good for you
so that’s what I’ve heard said.
It’s a much better alternative
than lazing round in bed.
It increases circulation,
sends oxygen to your brain.
It improves your lung capacity
and guards against weight gain.
Whether running, walking, swimming
try to choose something you like.
No point taking up cycling
if you haven’t got a bike.
It helps if you enjoy
the type of exercise you do.
It’s also much more fun
to have a friend along with you.
So next Saturday morning,
get your butt off the settee
Put your trainers on
and come and jog along with me.
