This is a very special card made for a very special lady, namely my sister. She celebrated her 65th birthday this year and she is also a crafter like me. We always try to go that extra mile when making cards for each other. I bought the main dies – Simply Made Crafts Die Set Medium Exploding Gift Box die set – from Craftstash some months ago and found this the perfect occasion to use them. I used pretty double sided papers from my stash as both sides would be visible in the finished card. I came up with the idea of including 65 reasons why she is so special, I printed these onto card and die cut/hand cut to fit on all sides lids etc of all of the boxes. I used Card the Altenew 3D Die Set Garden Picks for the floral embellishments, I just love their latering flower dies. I made an additional tall thin box to fit in the centre to contain her gift (money to spend on crafting supplies) there are no dies included in the set for this but it was quite easy to create by measuring and cutting with a trimmer. Finally to top the whole thing off I used the Card Making Magic Die Sets Solid & Overlay Number & Suffix by Christina Griffiths (also from Craftstash) I stacked 3 of the number and overlay die cuts together and heat embossed with clear embossing powder to create a more substantial enamelled look.
